Frequently asked questions
Does this work for a child’s birthday?
Yes, and that is where it helps most - the parents are the ones shooting, and the gallery is private and reachable only by someone who scans your code. Photos of children do not end up on social media, and if something does land that you would rather not keep, you delete it from the dashboard.
Where should the QR code go at the party?
By the cake, because that is where everyone gathers anyway, and on the bar, because that is where people stand longest. If the tables are far apart, put one on each - a guest scans what is in front of them, not what is across the room. You download the code from your dashboard and print it at home; for a party in a flat, one sheet of paper is enough.
How many guests can upload?
As many as you have - we never count guests, so nobody is ever turned away at the door. What you pick when you create the gallery sets how much space it has, not who is allowed in, and a party's worth of photos sits well inside it.
Can guests download photos other people took?
They can, and it is half the reason anyone scans the code at all. Whoever has the link sees the whole gallery and saves what they want, at the size the photo was sent, without having to ask you to forward anything.
Will guests who are not good with phones manage?
Scanning the code opens a page in the browser, like any other link. There is no install, no account and no password - the step that normally stops people is simply not there.
Can we set the gallery up as a surprise?
You can. It stays locked until the day of the party, so nothing shows even if the link reaches the wrong hands early. Print the code weeks ahead if you like and put it out only once the guests sit down.
What if the party runs late into the night?
The gallery stays open right through the night and for days afterwards, so the photos from guests who only remember once they are home still arrive. Your dashboard shows exactly how long.
Do guests need to install an app?
No. Scanning the QR code opens a normal web page in their phone's browser. Nothing is installed and nobody signs up.
What if a guest doesn't want to give their name?
They can continue without one. Their photos are simply credited to "Guest".
When can I download the photos?
Right away, at any time. The dashboard has a button that downloads every photo in a single ZIP archive.
How long does the gallery stay open?
Guests can upload for 1 day after the event ends. After that the gallery stays viewable and downloadable for another 30 days.
Can I remove a photo I don't want?
Yes. You can delete any photo from the gallery in the dashboard.
Is the gallery public?
No. The link never appears in search engines and only people who scan your QR code can reach it.
