Can photos of the child stay private?
The gallery never appears in search engines and opens only for someone who scans your code or has the link. No photo reaches social media unless you put it there yourself.
Can you take photos in church during the service?
That is the priest’s call, and it is worth asking in advance: in some parishes photography is entirely free, in others the request is that nobody walks around the altar, and in a few only one person may shoot at all. Most of what there is to photograph happens before and after the service anyway - the arrival, the child in a godparent’s arms, the congratulations outside.
Do we need a QR code in the church as well as the restaurant?
It is worth it. Few people scan during the service itself, since everyone is facing the altar, but it catches the relatives who arrive early and stand around outside. Most photos still come in at the table, which is why a code on every restaurant table is the one that pays off.
Can we remove a photo we would rather not keep?
Yes, from the dashboard, in two clicks. It goes from the download archive as well.
How do we share the photos with relatives who could not come?
Send them the same link guests reach by scanning the code - they see the gallery with no sign-up, from any device. It is also the easiest way for the photos to reach the people who live far away.
Can the godparents download all of the photos?
They can, and they do not have to ask you first. The link they reach by scanning opens the same gallery you see, and they can save whatever they want from it, at the size the photo was sent.
Will the photos be good enough for a printed album?
For the sizes family albums are actually printed at, yes. Photos are compressed in the browser on the way up - that is what makes an upload finish on a restaurant's wifi - but far more gently than a messaging app does. That covers a 10x15 print or an album page comfortably. For anything poster-sized, the photo says who took it, so you know whose phone the untouched file is on.
Do guests need to install an app?
No. Scanning the QR code opens a normal web page in their phone's browser. Nothing is installed and nobody signs up.
What if a guest doesn't want to give their name?
They can continue without one. Their photos are simply credited to "Guest".
When can I download the photos?
Right away, at any time. The dashboard has a button that downloads every photo in a single ZIP archive.
How long does the gallery stay open?
Guests can upload for 1 day after the event ends. After that the gallery stays viewable and downloadable for another 30 days.
Can I remove a photo I don't want?
Yes. You can delete any photo from the gallery in the dashboard.
Is the gallery public?
No. The link never appears in search engines and only people who scan your QR code can reach it.
