Frequently asked questions
Does it work across several locations or several groups?
Yes. One code covers the whole day, so every group uploads into the same gallery no matter where they were or what order the activities ran in.
What about people who would rather not be photographed?
You delete those photos from the dashboard, and the gallery is not publicly searchable in the first place - only someone with the link or your code can open it.
Can we use the photos for a job ad or an internal post?
You download every photo at the size it was sent, and each one says who took it, so asking permission before you publish is straightforward.
Do guests need to install an app?
No. Scanning the QR code opens a normal web page in their phone's browser. Nothing is installed and nobody signs up.
What if a guest doesn't want to give their name?
They can continue without one. Their photos are simply credited to "Guest".
When can I download the photos?
Right away, at any time. The dashboard has a button that downloads every photo in a single ZIP archive.
How long does the gallery stay open?
Guests can upload for 1 day after the event ends. After that the gallery stays viewable and downloadable for another 30 days.
Can I remove a photo I don't want?
Yes. You can delete any photo from the gallery in the dashboard.
Is the gallery public?
No. The link never appears in search engines and only people who scan your QR code can reach it.
What kind of events is Fotkaj for?
